The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) published a new radiation safety guide for metal recyclers at the end of last week, the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) has told members in a statement.
The Safety Standard publication “Control of Orphan Sources and Other Radioactive Material in the Metal Recycling and Production Industries” sets out the responsibilities of operators in the recycling industries.
